I am working at the South Asia Forum for Human Rights (SAFHR). We are at present engaging on a project on 'Partition as a Method of Conflict Resolution'. I found your blog very informative, especially since it looks into the lesser known aspects of the aftermath of partition in Bengal. Kindly get in touch with me as we would be interested in sharing our inputs with you.

Hi Navita, I raised a question after you presentation. Can you remember? I repeat it. was there any sort of social conflict between the refugees and the host population in post partition Punjab? In West Bengal it was very much in deed. The Bangals(refugees from East Bengal)were humiliated in a number of ways by the Ghatis(original inhabitants of West Bengal). Wgat was the situation in Punjab after Partition. Looking for your response. Tridib What's your mail id? I forgot to collect it in Delhi.
